-Discussion led by Greg Valcante about the mission and services of UF’s Center for Autism and Related Disabilities

-Workshop on plant propagation presented by GROW HUB staff

One of the things that makes Grow Hub so special is the way we accommodate all of our people, both with and without disabilities. This seminar is all about who needs accommodations (spoiler—it’s everyone!), how to make accommodations, and how accommodations made for one person can benefit everyone!

It's #ThrowbackThursday! 🌱✨ Today we're looking at the amazing growth at GROW HUB over the past several years.

Then: Weathered structures in need of care, empty tables waiting to be filled with possibility, a space ready for renewal
Now: A vibrant, productive nursery where greenhouses overflow with thousands of thriving plants and a dedicated team brings it all to life

Since our early days in 2018 as an entirely volunteer-run operation with no paid staff, GROW HUB has blossomed from a vision into a flourishing nonprofit plant nursery that does so much more than grow plants - it grows opportunities, confidence, and community for adults with disabilities.

From those early days of setting up infrastructure to today's production-ready operation, every seedling tells a story of perseverance, teamwork, and growth (in every sense of the word!).

We're so proud of how far we've come and grateful for everyone who has supported this journey. Here's to continued growth, for our plants, our team, and our mission! 💚

A HUGE thank you to the amazing volunteers from the Florida Leadership Academy who came out to GROW HUB yesterday, even with the rain coming down! ☔

They rolled up their sleeves, cleared out vegetation debris around the nursery, and spread fresh mulch in the Friendship Garden, helping us keep this space beautiful and thriving for the whole community.

Your hard work and dedication don’t go unnoticed. Thank you for helping us grow more than just plants. 🌿🌸
